Georgia Tech

Where it all began…

Wanting to stay close to Atlanta so his family could see him play, coupled with finding the best education- Calvin chose Georgia Tech.

Not considering playing professional ball at the time, Calvin wanted to attend a school where he would have the best chance at post-graduation success. As a man guided by his faith, Calvin attributes coming into his own spiritually during his time at Tech. His involvement in Fellowship of Christian Athletes through Derrick Moore, Team Chaplain, turned mentor and friend. After his second collegiate game a star was born. Playing Clemson at Death Valley, Johnson erupted for 100+ yards and 3 TDs including the game winner in the closing seconds.
